Matt's Father's Day Gift

Anna hand-knitted the scarf for Matt's Father's Day gift! She finished it during her May visit. It goes well with Matt's UT letterman jacket, picked up during our last visit to Austin. I should have stepped back to get the full picture of this lovely scarf - it has more than one orange stripe. Matt's reaction: it's nice and soft and warm!

Note: I did contribute to the gift by weaving in the yarn ends and wrapping the gift in Anna's leftover polka dot paper.

The Practice Dress

I admit I fell madly for the engagement dress. If you don't know what that means, you haven't been paying attention. I'm wearing the engagement ring, but you have to look closely. Anyway, I found a pattern close to the engagement dress; it's M5752 from McCall's. I also found blue jersey but before I cut into that, I needed to practice on cheaper material. Hence, the practice dress. This gorgeous blue flower material came from the sale table at Joann's. It's also jersey but lighter weight than the blue. I plan to make the blue one with long sleeves, and the cute attached belt option. I don't fool myself; I don't look anything like she does in her clothes but THAT DRESS!
